Co-sleeping

Co-sleeping with your baby involves having them sleep in close proximity to you, either in the same bed or in a nearby sleep space like a co-sleeper or bassinet attached to your bed.

➜ This practice can make nighttime feedings and comforting more convenient, strengthen your bond with your baby, and help you respond quickly to their needs.

➜ Many parents find that co-sleeping helps their baby sleep better and can lead to more restful nights for everyone involved.

➜ Make sure your baby sleeps on a firm mattress with no loose bedding, pillows, or stuffed animals that could pose a suffocation hazard.

➜ Keep your baby’s sleep area free from gaps where they could get stuck or fall.

➜ Ensure that you, your partner, and any pets are aware of the baby’s presence and take precautions to avoid accidental rolling or falling.
