Burping can help your baby feel more comfortable and reduce fussiness, especially if they seem gassy or have swallowed air during feeding.
➜ After each feeding, gently pat or rub your baby’s back while holding them in an upright position, either over your shoulder, on your lap, or sitting them up.
➜ Try different burping positions, such as sitting them on your knee and supporting their chest and chin with one hand while gently patting their back with the other.
➜ Some babies burp more easily with a gentle rubbing motion, while others might respond better to patting.
➜ If your baby doesn’t burp after a few minutes, it’s okay to try again later.
