‘Shake the apple tree’/ jiggle

Shaking the apple tree or jiggling the body is an old technique used to promote relaxation of the butt, pelvic, and inner and outer thighs muscles.

➜ Jiggling can help muscles release tension and temporarily get a tiny bit longer creating more room for the baby to move.

➜ You can simply lean over a bed or a birth ball, get in a hands-and-knees position and let your partner vigorously jiggle your posterior back and forth.

➜ Never shake the abdomen or the hips vigorously.
