No controlled cord traction

CCT stands for controlled cord traction – pulling on the umbilical cord to ‘help’ birth the placenta.

➜ Birthing in upright positions, encouraging the release of oxytocin through skin-to-skin with the baby, and breastfeeding are all ways nature intended to help our bodies birth our placentas without interference.
